David S. Gruba is a senior paralegal in the firm’s Commercial, Competition & Trade and Litigation Groups with more than 40 years of experience supporting attorneys and clients in secured transactions and litigation matters. David works directly with clients to process secured transactions, including preparing agreements and filing Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) documents with state agencies. His extensive experience helps ensure that filings and documentation are handled accurately and efficiently.
David works with attorneys on pending litigation matters, including preparing pleadings and supporting documentation for filing with state and federal courts, conducting document review, and processing discovery materials. He also assists attorneys and clients with audit requests by reviewing and organizing litigation and billing documentation and preparing responsive materials.
David began his career at the firm in the Office Services Department, where he handled state and federal court filings for the Litigation Group, in addition to providing general office services support. He studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Northeastern Illinois University.
