Amanda Taylor is a senior paralegal in the firm’s Real Estate Group with more than 20 years of experience supporting attorneys and clients with real estate tax matters. She assists with property tax appeals for residential, commercial, and industrial properties throughout Cook County and the surrounding collar counties.

Amanda develops appeal strategies by analyzing documentation such as appraisals, financial statements, leases, and comparable property data. She prepares and files appeals with the Assessor, Board of Review, and the State of Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, and reviews state and local tax laws and regulations to support effective appeal strategies. Her experience allows her to carefully evaluate property assessments and help pursue reductions in assessed value, where appropriate.

Amanda regularly communicates with clients to gather necessary documentation for the appeal process, and she provides updates and summaries of appeal results, and responds to client concerns. She is highly organized and consistently moves matters forward to ensure deadlines are met.

Amanda earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from South Suburban College.
