As U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) inspection lines are getting longer, all eligible individuals should consider applying for the Global Entry Program. The Global Entry Program is a CBP program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the U.S. Individuals who are not U.S. nationals or lawful permanent residents may also be eligible for the Global Entry Program if they are a national of one of the Global Entry partner countries. As of April 2025, twenty-two (22) countries are listed as Global Entry partner countries, including Japan, Germany, India, Mexico, and Canada (List of Partner Countries). In order to minimize the wait time and contact with CBP officers, eligible individuals who frequently travel to the U.S. should consider enrolling in the Global Entry Program. Even ESTA/VWP travelers can be eligible for the Global Entry program. The details can be found on the CBP website here.
