Jerry Carter’s practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, financings and divestitures; formation, maintenance and dissolution of business entities; corporate structuring; and international and domestic joint ventures. He also advises on the legal aspects of the manufacture and sale of goods, including terms and conditions of sale or purchase and supply and distribution agreements.

As an integral member of firm’s merger and acquisition team, Jerry has provided critical advice and support in all phases of client transactions. Jerry is able to contribute to even the most complex, high-value and large-scale transactions and initiatives. While strongly advocating for his clients, he takes a proactive approach to problem solving and deal-making through his consensus building and the development of productive working relationships with both clients and opposing parties.

Jerry has lived and worked in Japan, India and Korea. Prior to law school and business school, he participated in the Japan Exchange & Teaching Program and worked at the trading arm of Japan’s largest carmaker. Jerry understands the Japanese language and culture and assists the firm’s Japan-based clients, in addition to other international companies, at all stages of their investment into the U.S. Jerry understands the mindset of business professionals from around the globe and he is committed to supporting the client’s investment at every turn.
