Colin Hara counsels clients on a broad range of corporate issues, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, the establishment of corporations and LLCs, distribution and sales agreements, and technology transfers. He also advises on employment and labor practices such as reviewing, drafting and negotiating employment agreements and developing human resource policies and strategies. In addition, he assists with immigration matters pertaining to work-related visas, including employment authorization and non-work applications for spouses.

Working mostly with Japanese companies, Colin strives to respond quickly and with the right advice to foreign-owned business clients operating in the U.S.
Born in Tokyo, Japan and raised in Chicago, Colin is a long-time Director of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Chicago (JCCC) and the JCCC Foundation. Colin has lectured on employment and personnel issues affecting Japanese and other foreign companies conducting business in America. He has presented on multiple occasions at the annual State of Illinois foreign direct investment seminars, and has worked with other state and regional development organizations on foreign direct investment opportunities.
