Illinois "Super Lawyers" Once Again Recognizes Masuda Funai Attorneys

Three principals of Masuda Funai have been honored by their peers as Illinois Super Lawyers.  Honorees were selected based on the results of thousands of reviews and votes, and the recommendation of a blue-ribbon panel.

Masuda Funai's Illinois Super Lawyers are:

Gary D. Santella, Business Litigation, Chicago

Nancy E. Sasamoto, Employment & Labor, Chicago

This fourth annual edition, published by Law & Politics, is included in a special supplement to the February 2009 issue of Chicago magazine. Mr. Funai, Mr. Santella and Ms. Sasamoto have all been previous honorees, while Ms. Sasamoto has the distinction of being recognized all four years.

The list was compiled through a multi-step evaluation process beginning with a general survey of 55,000 Illinois attorneys who nominate the best attorneys they had personally observed in action, in addition to an independent review of media mentions, periodical and trade journal references and interviews. From this selection, only 5% of the total lawyers in the state of Illinois are selected for the Super Lawyers recognition.
